CALM AFTER THE STORM

The calm after the storm has arrived and the sky is starting to lighten up. The heat and humidity make it feel more like mid- August instead of early July. We have been busy around the cabin re-staining all the decks and covered porches and touching up red and green paint on the rockers, swings and benches. 

It was kind of nice that the rain came today. It gave us a much needed excuse to take the morning off and stay inside where it is cool. The sun is starting to break through the clouds and soon everything will be dried off and we can get to work again. But for now…it is just nice to enjoy the sweet smell of summer rain and the fragrance of flowers that fills the air.  

The view is pretty great too!
