A YARD FULL OF WHITETAIL FRIENDS
Every evening we sprinkle sweet apple deer corn in small piles around the front yard and watch as the deer come running out of the woods to be the first to claim their share. We used to dump it all in one place but it didn’t take us long to realize that method only benefited the larger deer and the small ones would always be pushed out and not get any corn.
It is so enjoyable to sit on the porch swing and watch them. Ever cautious, they eat a bite and raise their heads and look and listen for any sign or sound of danger. It is always shocking to listen to them eat. We can actually hear them grind their teeth and the crunch of the corn as they chew. With five deer eating at once it can be a very loud process.
Having a yard full of whitetail friends is a sight and sound we never tire of.
Hope you enjoyed seeing our friends.
